Scandinavian Business Club Inc

Our mission is:

to further goodwill and mutual confidence amongst members and to encourage good relationships between the Nordic countries and Australia.

W
e respond to the changing demands of modern business life by providing opportunities for effective business networking at a variety of events. These include:

Formal business luncheons

These luncheons are usually held in the city of Sydney, feature interesting guest speakers and run from 12:30 to 14:00. New members can briefly introduce their products.

A la carte business luncheons

Less formal, these luncheons run from 12:30 to 14:00. They are usually held on the first Wednesday of each alternate month (Feb-Dec) at venues including the Cruising Yacht Club of Aust., the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, the Intercontinental Hotel, the Royal Automobile Club of Aust. There are no guest speakers, so you have more time to talk. New members can briefly introduce their products.

Visits to members' premises

There is probably no better way to promote a business than to show others what you do, how you do it, where you do it. One such visit was an inspection and luncheon onboard one of the world's largest roll-on/roll off ships, the state-of-the-art, MS "Tamesis". That visit was generously arranged and sponsored by Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines.

Weekend "Viking Long Lunch" picnics

These are occasionally, usually at the start or end of summer daylight saving time.  Arranged in national parks overlooking beautiful Sydney Harbour.  They are BYO, start at around midday and end at sunset.  These events are an ideal way for Nordic students to meet our senior members. The Nordic Charity Dinner

The Nordic Charity Dinner is a more formal event which occasionally bring the local Nordic community together for one big night out. Venues have included the magnificent International College of Tourism & Hotel Management, Manly. Guests enjoy superb cuisine, with a Scandinavian influence and well known Scandinavian and local entertainment. Nordic students at the college's help arrange these popular events. By attending and supporting a worthy Australian charity, the local Scandinavian business community clearly shows its appreciation to the nation in which they have prospered.
